Getting Started

Telegram Bot Setup

Use this guide to prepare your own Telegram bot, connect its billing wallet, and send the required setup information to HydraCID X.

Before you start

Send me a Telegram message first so I know you want to create your own HydraCID X bot and can help you through the setup.

1

Create your Telegram bot with @BotFather

  1. Open @BotFather in Telegram.
  2. Create your new bot.
  3. Set a friendly name, description, and profile picture.
  4. Generate and copy the Bot API Token. You will provide this to us.
Do not use words like Microsoft, MS, Verified, or similar terms in the bot name or description.
2

Choose your Binance billing wallet

Your bot can use either a normal Binance account or a sub-account. The best choice depends on whether you can isolate bot-related deposits from personal activity.

OptionBinance PayCrypto DepositsNotes
Normal Account Yes Yes Best option if you have a spare personal account. Avoid mixing unrelated personal payments.
Sub-Account No Yes Use this only if you do not have a spare normal account.
If you use a normal account, avoid receiving unrelated payments there. Otherwise, the bot may record those deposits as reseller credit.
3

Prepare your Binance account

Choose only one setup for the bot wallet: a dedicated Binance account or a virtual sub-account. You do not need both.

Important: only one of these two options is required. Pick the one that fits your case.
  1. Log in to the dedicated Binance account that will be used only for the bot.
  2. Open API Management here:

https://www.binance.com/en/my/settings/api-management

  1. Create a new API key.
  2. Enable Read Only.
  3. Copy and save the API Key and API Secret.
  1. Log in to your main Binance account.
  2. Go to Subaccounts and create a Virtual sub-account if you do not have one yet.
  3. Name it similar to your Telegram bot so it is easy to identify.
  4. Open the virtual sub-account API Management page here:

https://www.binance.com/en/my/sub-account/api-management

  1. Create a new API key for that virtual sub-account.
  2. Enable Read Only.
  3. Copy and save the API Key and API Secret.
A dedicated account is the best option if you can keep the bot wallet separate. A virtual sub-account is useful when you want to isolate deposits inside the same Binance profile, but it does not support Binance Pay.
